HOTEL RECEPTIONIST

We are currently looking for a receptionist to join our friendly team, we are looking to fill one role working a 24 hour contract over 3 days (8 hour shifts).

The role involves working weekends and all public holidays therefore we require all candidates to be fully flexible in terms of days/times they are available to work.

Duties will involve all aspects of the Front Desk Operations including:

PERFORMS ALL GUESTS ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS TO COMPANY AND HOTEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, ENSURING ALL GUEST ACCOUNTS ARE COMPLETE AND ACCURATE
TO MAXIMISE REVENUE WHERE POSSIBLE BY MEANS OF UPSELL/PROMOTING HOTEL PRODUCTS/SERVICES

Salary: £11.44 per hour




WEDDING & SALES CO-ORDINATOR

We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and organised Wedding & Sales Co-ordinator to join our growing team.

Job Summary

- To efficiently help with the day to day running of the Meetings, Events and Weddings department in order to maximise occupancy, revenue and yield in line with Blackwell Grange Hotels vision.

- To be a key driver in moving the Hotels business forward.

 

Key Responsibilities and their Performance Indicators:

First point of contact to all couples from initial enquiry to completion (details appointments)
Able to produce/issue invoices, quotes, scheduled payment details, cash handling and issue receipts
Conduct show rounds/appointments
Host open nights at the hotel
Attend possible showcase events offsite when required alongside the events manager
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferably a background in operational side of a wedding to understand timescales and how the day works from start to finish
Liase with external suppliers to assist brides and grooms
Update and maintain enquiry log and complete regular chase calls to ensure maximum conversion rate
Assist the events manager and work with other departments to ensure all bookings are seamless
Excellent time management skills and must be highly organised
Able to work to strict targets/deadlines to ensure overall success of the business
Maintain 3rd party sites for enquires, photos and feedback
Have a good product knowledge of menus/allergies and be able to offer alternative dishes if required
Book in wedding tasters following company procedures then follow up with the couple and record results on file
General office work, photocopying, filing, answering calls, tidying etc.
Any other adhoc duties as required

Hours: 32 hours across 5 days including weekends on a rota basis.

Previous experience is essential. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK with good levels of written and spoken English. Evening and weekend work is required over busy periods. Only those considered for an interview will be contacted.
