Friday 30th December
Arrive at leisure from 2pm, settle in to your room and enjoy afternoon tea in the lounge. Join us for a glass of mulled wine before a three course candlelit dinner in the Havelock Restaurant, with our pianist playing melodies throughout the meal.
New Year's Eve
After breakfast you can spend the day at your leisure, perhaps enjoy a relaxing swim or explore the local area, but make sure you're back in time for high tea in the lounge. The evening's celebrations get under way with pre-dinner drinks and canapés from 7pm followed by the gala buffet served from 7.30pm. Dance the night way to our disco and our traditional Scottish Piper will pipe in the New Year. The dress code for New Year's Eve is Black Tie, and is for over eighteens only.
New Year's Day
Enjoy a long leisurely breakfast, then the day is yours to do as you choose. There are lots of interesting places to visit including Durham Cathedral or maybe just relax in our comfortable lounge. Round off the day with a three course dinner in the Havelock Restaurant.
Monday 2nd January
After breakfast, it's time to say farewell and then set off for the journey home. But it doesn't have to end there, take advantage of our January Special Offer from only £60 per person per night including dinner, bed and breakfast.
The hotel also offers a 2 night package arriving Wednesday 30th December departing after breakfast on 1st January.

How to Book
- Provisional reservations - please telephone the hotel of your choice or our Central Reservations to make your reservation, rooms will be held for a maximum of 7 days.
- To confirm your reservation please complete, sign and return the reservation form together with a deposit of £100 per person. We reserve the right to release the accommodation if booking forms are not received within 7 days.
- The final balance of your festive package is due by 1st December 2011.
Information
Drinks and Wine
Pre-dinner drinks and wine are included where specified in the individual hotel packages. Where wine is included this is a choice of our excellent red or white house wine.
Dress Code
In all the hotels, our dress code is smart casual. For the New Year's Eve parties in some of our hotels, ladies are requested to wear evening dresses and gentlemen dinner jackets, please see individual hotel pages for details.
Dogs Welcome
All Forestdale hotels welcome dogs at a charge of £7.50 per dog, per night, inclusive of their food. So all can enjoy the festive season, including your pet!

Reservation
1. All offers are subject to availability.
2. All verbal bookings will be treated as provisional and will be held for a maximum of 7 days pending receipt of completed booking form and a non refundable deposit of £100 per person.
3. All prices for Christmas & New Year Residential Breaks are in £’s per person per night based on two people sharing a twin or double room. There are no supplements for single bedded rooms. When no single rooms are available, individual guests can usually book a twin or double bedded room at a supplementary charge. Prices available upon application.
4. Additional nights rates are only available when booked for stays as extensions to bookings for the Christmas or New Year programmes featured.
Payment
5. Deposits and pre-payment are required for the featured breaks in this brochure. When booking Christmas or New Year break a deposit of £100 per person is required at time of booking.
6. The balance of payment must be made by 1st December 2011.When booking after 1st December 2011 full payment is required at time of booking.
7. Payment to be made by credit/debit card or by cheque (made payable to the hotel). Please note the Scottish Hotels do not accept cheques. Send the completed booking form direct to the hotel.
8. All additional charges incurred during your stay must be settled prior to departure
Cancellations
9. If you cancel before 1st December 2011, the deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.
10. If you cancel on or after such date, and we are unable to resell the accommodation, the following cancellation fees will apply:
- For cancellation on or after 1st December but before 12th December 2011, 80% of the package value will be retained.
- For cancellations on or after 13th December 2011, 90% of the package value will be retained.
Insurance
11. We strongly recommend that you have cancellation insurance when booking any event featured in this brochure.
General Information
12. The information in this brochure is correct at the time of printing. The hotel reserves the right to amend its packages and prices at any time before booking. Bookings are subject to availability and prices quoted at the time of booking.
13. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate at the time of the event. If the general rate of VAT is altered, our prices will be modified accordingly. Gratuities are at the guest's discretion.
14. The hotel reserves the right to alter, substitute and /or amend the contents of a break and /or event, or to cancel an event or package for any reason, for example, if there is a shortfall in the minimum numbers required to operate a programme.
15. All events and timings are subject to approval by the local licensing authorities. All statutory licensing regulations apply.
16. In the interest of safety of guests, food and drinks are strictly prohibited from the dance area. In the event of any spillage of food or drinks on the dance floor, guests are to inform any member of the hotel staff immediately.
17. Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, our liability to you and your guests taken in the aggregate, is limited to the price of your booking.
18. The hotel will not be liable to you for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond its reasonable control.
19. These terms are deemed to incorporate the Hotel's General Terms of Business, copies of which are available on request from the hotel. In the event of any inconsistency, the terms of this agreement shall prevail.
